Our pressure vessels conform to the following recognised industry standards:
PD5500: This is a well-established pressure vessel design code that provides specifications for unfired pressure vessels in the UK. PD5500 sets out the requirements for designing, manufacturing, inspecting, and testing unfired pressure vessels made from carbon, ferritic alloy, and austenitic steels.
EN 13445: This is a pressure vessel design code that sets out the requirements for the design, fabrication, and inspection of unfired pressure vessels. It is applicable to unfired pressure vessels made from steel and steel castings, as well as additional materials like cast iron, aluminium, nickel, titanium, and copper. Adherence to this standard aids manufacturers in complying with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU within the European Union.
ASME: The ASME, or American Society of Mechanical Engineers, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing mechanical engineering and related disciplines worldwide. ASME is a globally recognised and trusted source of standards, developing and maintaining codes used for various aspects of engineering.
EN 1090: This comprises a series of European Standards which regulate the fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminium structures. Due to the legal requirement of CE marking under BS EN 1090, all organisations involved in designing or manufacturing structural steel components for the European market must adhere to this standard.
EN 14015: This European Standard outlines all the necessary steps for building and maintaining above-ground, welded steel storage tanks for liquids at ambient or higher temperatures. It covers everything from material selection and design to fabrication, erection, testing, and inspection, ensuring all technical agreements are met for a secure and functional tank.
